At the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center, youth are central to our work of building safer and healthier neighborhoods. Youth Programs staff engage young people through school and community-based workshops, internships opportunities, and on-site programming during the school year and summer months.
The two core programs which take place at Mediation Center offices are Youth Organizing to Save Our Streets (YO S.O.S.) and Justice Community Plus (JCP). These initiatives focus on leadership development, social justice and media literacy, anti-violence, community mobilization, social-emotional learning, and college and career readiness. To learn more, make a media request, or inquire about bringing Youth Programs activities to your school or community group, email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or call 718-773-6886.
