On Tuesday, December 6th, David Gaskin, program manager for Save Our Streets Crown Heights, visited the Brooklyn Institute for Liberal Arts (BILA) high school. He sat down with students to speak about the S.O.S. program, openly discuss violence norms, and teach about non-violence practices.
The students sported their “Stop Shooting, Start Living” button pins and posters for the remainder of the day, inviting S.O.S. back to their classroom to continue the conversation the following week.
