In collaboration with Project CARE, the Offices of Council Members Darlene Mealy, Robert Cornegy, and Laurie Cumbo, and Senator Jesse Hamilton, the Mediation Center participated in an evening of community celebration at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum on March 25.

To honor Women’s History Month, neighbors gathered to enjoy soul food and kosher sushi, as well as dance and musical performances from black and Jewish artists. Mediation Center Director Amy Ellenbogen was presented with an award for her years of work in creating a safer, healthier Crown Heights. YO S.O.S. participants Aisha Wright and Shavanna Reid also received special recognition. Thank you Crown Heights for making special space to celebrate what local women can accomplish across lines of race, religion, and culture.
