“…Guns are loud but we are louder…. Stop shooting, start living” was the refrain that could be heard throughout Brooklyn Heights as thousands of placard bearing Anti gun violence activists clad in orange marched down Cadman Plaza, across the Brooklyn Bridge and into Lower Manhattan last Saturday.  The large Save Our Streets Banner could not be missed as Mediation Center Staff and youth participants raised their voices to demand an end to gun violence in their communities.

It was the 5th Annual March across the Brooklyn Bridge to End Gun Violence.  The march was lead by Youth Over Guns, a gun violence prevention organization in New York City.  The event happened on National Wear Orange Day and kicked off the start of several events recognizing June as Gun Violence Awareness month.
