At this year’s Arts to End Violence Gallery Opening, we asked judges from throughout the community to select the pieces by youth artists that they felt best demonstrated the most powerful messaging, inspirational personal statements, aesthetics, and creativity. Congratulations to the following artists, whose work stood out to our judges!

Alyssa Garcia – Second Prizeimage2

Wilha Duncan – Third Prizeimage1 (3)

Nefiree Bryan – Honorable Mentionimage3

Octavia Davis – Honorable Mentionimage2 (1)

Zipporah Fraser – Honorable Mentionimage1 (4)

Thank you again to everyone who submitted work to this show. The messages in your art about community building, anti-violence, peace, and healing were powerful, and your art was remarkable. We hope to see more work from you in the future!
